Start the check

We check only your own address, over TCP, in a few seconds. Dahua's 37778 is a UDP port and cannot be checked this way.

How do I open a port on my router?

Open the router's panel (often 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) and find Port Forwarding, Virtual Server or NAT.

Add a rule: the external port, the camera's or NVR's local IP, the same internal port and protocol TCP.

Give the device a fixed local IP (a DHCP reservation) so the rule keeps working.

Save and check again on this page.

No port answers: what now?

If your router's WAN address differs from the IP shown above, or starts with 100.64 to 100.127, your ISP uses CGNAT and port forwarding will not work. Ask for a public (static) IP.

Some ISPs block ports 80 and 554. Try another external port, for example 8080.

The Hik-Connect, DMSS and XMEye apps also work over P2P, with no ports opened.
